Go to the University of Michigan website to watch a news video of that night on October 14, 1960 when John F. Kennedy came to Ann Arbor and first announced the idea of the U.S. Peace Corps.

SEMIRPCV is able to make small grants to projects initiated by Peace Corps Volunteers from Michigan in the field or to charitable organizations with connections to SEMI RPCV. Download our Grant Guidelines and Grant Application Form for information.

During the Fiscal Years 2014-18 we have earned revenues through:

  • Yard Sales
    • as well as Member Dues.

    We have donated $13,250 to over a dozen causes including:

  • Moroccan Women's Collective
  • Ukraine Relief
  • Ozone House
  • GLOW Thailand
  • Ghana Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Vanuatu Relief
  • Albania Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Costa Rica
  • Togo Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Namibia Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Senagal Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Equador Peace Corps Volunteer
  • Mentoring

    • Operating Expenses for the same period were $4,261. No Salaries are paid any Officers or Board Members.

    Southeast Michigan Returned Peace Corps is a member of National Peace Corps Association and encourages all our group members to join NPCA. You can designate SeMiRPCV as your local group at the same time you join the national organization.
