1 Medium Onion chopped finely 1/2lb ground pork 1/2lb ground beef 1/2 cup uncooked (parboiled) rice 1 egg 1 cup (or less) soda water 1 t salt Black Pepper to taste ( Combine above ingredients in a large bowl) 3 green, or other sweet peppers 1 15oz can of tomato sauce or other red sauce such as marinara.
Work with your hands to combine the beef, rice, and other bowl items until it they are smoothly in a gooey mixture. Preheat the oven to 375deg. Clean the peppers, remove the stems, clean out the seeds and veins from inside. Put the peppers upright in a baking dish. Stuff the peppers with the bowl mixture. Pour the tomato sauce over the peppers, allowing extra to slather over the bottom of the dish. Cover and bake for about 55 minutes, removing cover for the last 10 minutes. Or until the peppers look soft and the sauce bubbles.
